According to the latest data gathered by the Association des hôtels du grand Montréal (AHGM), the hotel occupancy rate of Greater Montréal was 70.79% in May 2008, versus 75.51% in May 2007.

The number of available rooms in all AHGM member hotels increased from 513 931 in May 2007 to 525 636 (+2.4%) in May 2008. The number of occupied rooms decreased from 387 662 in 2007 to 372 122 (-4.0%) in May 2008.
The average room-night rate decreased from $142.00 to $139.09 for the same period (May).
These results reflect the performance of AHGM member hotels solely, and not all Montréal accommodations.
